Review: I can not praise this movie for a long time! Shining is undoubtedly one of Stanley Kubricks undisputed masterpieces and a true classic horror movie. This is a movie that time, managed to scare the hell out of the audience (and still do). The film is an adaptation of the original novel Stepehen kings, written in the '70s, and although the film is not very true book, he still acts as own.Right things from the beginning, when thinking about the car behind the hotel in these stunning aerial shots , deep within us, we know that the way the film, in a sense, sometimes it does not go wrong. As we get a warning that heavy, almost soundless sound softly whispers to us to sit tight, the feeling of surprise penetrates all of us, and it's the same feeling that makes the hair stand up on the whole of the film. The plot is simple: Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) becomes nurse Overlook hotel in secluded mountains of Colorado. Jack, this is a family man, takes his wife (Shelley Duvall) and hotel son (Danny Lloyd) to join him for a long, isolated nights. During their stay, strange things happen when his son Danny sees Jacks terrible images provided shining force called, and Jack greatly affected. Paranoia follows young stars in the world of technology that is forced into the world of corporate espionage between two of technology's most powerful billionaires in the world. Seduced by unlimited wealth and power that comes along with it, are pulled into this world too deep for them to just let him just walk away. This film had everything it takes to deliver a great thriller, but failed. The story works well, but there is no sense of urgency for something that never happens no matter how much they try. There is also a love story mixed Bog direction of the film is trying to go leaving it unconnected. No one here ever seems to really have a grudge or become overly concerned with what happens to them hence losing all effectiveness. Liam Hemsworth is not fine job with the lead role, but never comes across as much more than a pretty face, that works for that character should be, but do not pack the emotional impact that it has on the rest of the story. Ford and Oldman are great, especially in the few scenes that play with each other, but unfortunately they are not on screen all that much to save the entire movie. There are some interesting twists that make this film works a little better time of it, but never realized what it goes for. Although scary movie that feels more like direct video release much more. With a little more fleshing out some better choices with music and sound, they could leave the film in the hands of the Oldman and Ford film and create a more efficient and fun way, but instead it ended up being a missed opportunity for these two greats.
