Review: The film revolves around the City of God, a favela (or ghetto) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, spooky area where drug dealers run the community, where children kill a child rare. The story begins with the early stages of the City of God (in 1960) shows that many of the problems stem or extreme poverty, overcrowding, etc. Here, in the initial stages of favela achieve our main characters, along with the support team. The story revolves mainly around two characters who live in the favela, Rocket and Lil Ze, and the two take different paths through life. Rockets dream is to become a photographer and get away from the City of God, while Lil Ze becomes a powerful gang leader and drug dealer.The the lens , calculates overlooks indestructible life of gangs in the city of God, as it follows the favela through three decades, the 60, 70 and 80, and shows how violence only , is the violence spirals more worryingly high amount of violence in the favela, including most teenagers and children. The direction, cinematography and editing are worthy of an Oscar. The film is one of the best I've seen with a lot of passion, feels uneven, very reminiscent of Saving Private Ryan ever. The mean very wild, which makes you feel like you're on the streets of the City of God, and the direction is flawless, perfectly combines many elements of the story.The film is definitely one of the best films I've seen in my life. The story, direction, photography, editing and performance add up to an excellent film that I recommend to everyone. 10/10, A + also recommend: Bus 174 and Carandiru
