Review: His 16 years of Air Force One hit theaters and followed Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman against each other, but now they are back in an all new paranoia thriller. While these two power houses obvious draw to see this movie, Liam Hemsworth is leading the charge supported by a team of support including Amber heard, Josh Halloway, Lucas Till and Richard DFreyfuss, but pack a punch needed to bring this thriller to life? Paranoia follows young stars in the world of technology that is forced into the world of corporate espionage between two of technology's most powerful billionaires in the world. Seduced by unlimited wealth and power that comes along with it, are pulled into this world too deep for them to just let him just walk away. This film had everything it takes to deliver a great thriller, but failed. The story works well, but there is no sense of urgency for something that never happens no matter how much they try. There is also a love story mixed Bog direction of the film is trying to go leaving it unconnected. No one here ever seems to really have a grudge or become overly concerned with what happens to them hence losing all effectiveness. Liam Hemsworth is not fine job with the lead role, but never comes across as much more than a pretty face, that works for that character should be, but do not pack the emotional impact that it has on the rest of the story. Ford and Oldman are great, especially in the few scenes that play with each other, but unfortunately they are not on screen all that much to save the entire movie. There are some interesting twists that make this film works a little better time of it, but never realized what it goes for. Although scary movie that feels more like direct video release much more. With a little more fleshing out some better choices with music and sound, they could leave the film in the hands of the Oldman and Ford film and create a more efficient and fun way, but instead it ended up being a missed opportunity for these two greats.
